Actress Shabnur has complained of fake Facebook pages and groups, asking for money using her name. These pages are extorting money by asking her fans and followers to contribute to the flood victims in Sylhet and Sunamganj.
The “Chandni Ratey” actress, who has recently opened her own Facebook page, felt embarrassed by the whole situation.

The actress posted a warning on her Facebook account.
“A group of miscreants are using my name and picture to create fake Facebook accounts, and are asking for relief money for the flood victims. Please beware of such cheaters and fraudsters. I have warned them a thousand times to not cheat people by opening fake ids in my name. They are ruining my image. that my image,” read the post.
“I have become an actress for the sake of the people. All I have ever wanted was love. But those who are extorting money from my fans and well-wishers at home and abroad by running fake Facebook accounts and pages with my pictures. I really wonder what kind of sick person are they,” the post added.
“I never want anyone to be harmed because of me. I have repeatedly forbade them but they are still cheating people by using my name. I will be forced to complain and take action against them if they continue to do so. Please beware of such wicked people,” concluded the actress.
There are numerous fake account created under Shabnur’s name. While some accounts have been reported to the Facebook authorities. It was not possible to remove them all from the popular social media platform.
