Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given emphasis on project management and directed to put the relatively unimportant projects on hold.
“She has given directives to categorise projects – A, B and C. Category A projects will be implemented while a ministry can spend up to 75 percent of allocation. The implementation of category C projects will be put on hold,” Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said after the cabinet meeting.

Replying to a question, Anwarul Islam said the respective ministry will decide which projects are important and need to be implemented immediately.
The Prime Minister also called for using land to the maximum capacity for agricultural production, he added.
